What Prakriya is

Prakriya offers free step-by-step guides and tools for government processes, written by people who have done them and checked by us before publishing. It is a private service, not affiliated with any government department or portal, and it is not legal, tax or financial advice.

Use the information with care

  • Portals, fees and rules change often, and a guide can be out of date or wrong. Check the official portal before you pay or submit.
  • Tool results, such as the registration cost calculator, are estimates. The amount the government office charges is final.
  • We are not responsible for any loss from relying on a guide or tool.

Writing a guide

When you submit a guide, you confirm that:

  • you did the process yourself, and the steps are true to the best of your knowledge;
  • the screenshots and photos are yours;
  • you have blurred personal details, yours and anyone else's (names, Aadhaar, PAN, phone numbers, property and application numbers, addresses).

You keep ownership of your guide. You give Prakriya a free, permanent, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to review, edit, translate, publish and show it, with the author name you choose. You can ask us to take your guide down at any time. We may decline, edit or remove any guide.

Please don't

  • share other people's personal details;
  • post false or misleading steps, or links to unofficial look-alike or paid sites;
  • send spam, abuse anyone, or try to break, overload or copy the site in bulk.

Paid help

If you ask us to do a process for you, we agree the fee and what is included on WhatsApp before we start. Government fees are paid at actual cost. We can't guarantee that a government office approves an application. We use your documents only for that job.

Your account

You sign in with Google. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, our total liability for a paid job is limited to the fee you paid us for it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
